Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
(John 14:6 NKJ)

Yesterday a church in Wasilla Alaska was badly damaged by an arson attack. There were people inside. It was a place that Sarah Palin attended. Also, one that had recently supported a conference promoting the notion that gays could overcome same sex attractions. While the questions of who and why are yet to be discovered this event is still act of violence. Over the last several months I was thinking that public comments and attitudes of hate toward Christians seemed to be increasing. Ironically, the media seems bent on showing that Christians are the ones who are the perpetrators of hate against those who do not hold and follow their beliefs.

The Christians I know have been outraged by the skewed misrepresentations. Maybe some have been over defensive in their comments and actions and gave some fuel to critics arguments. While this is a shame I don't know how this continual conflict can be avoided. Each side wants the other to conform to their beliefs. I think for most of those who have made up their minds a conversion is just not going to happen.

What is the truth? I suggest each individual, no matter what side you believe you represent, consider this:

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

(Rom 3:23 NKJ)

Message to the reader: Don't you think this is a hard truth? It means you have to look at yourself and not everyone else. You have no place to point your finger but toward yourself. There is no self justification, an activity we all are skilled at engaging in. The reality is this truth is not one most people are willing to readily embrace. Imagine what would happen if we did.
